Ingredients
- Green split peas1.5 cups dry
- Onion1 medium
- Carrots2 medium
- Celery2 stalks
- Vegetable broth6 cups
- Bay leaf1
- Dried thyme0.5 teaspoon

Steps
- 1Rinse green split peas thoroughly.
- 2Dice onion, carrots, and celery, and mince garlic.
- 3Heat olive oil in a large pot, then sauté onion, carrots, celery, and garlic until softened.
